i understand thated, jason, liberty and i have to take the pre-baptismal class in orderto get shortie baptized…  but why did we have to have aninstructor that would first go through the seven sacraments(understandable) and then just go off on a huge tangent and talk aboutthe twinkie effect, star wars, justice, that we as parents should notgive our child an allowance to teach them the value of money and thengo off saying that all of it is about greek paganism, modernism andmaterialism…. and this has to do with baptizing my child how?  iswear every person in that class was so irritated by him…. he didn’tseem to understand that according to the paperwork that we filled out,the class was supposed to be only TWO hours long… not THREE!!!!  thank god it is over and we are so getting this child’s butt baptized after going through all that unnecessary babble….

it’s been quite a dramatic day.. don’t really want to go into the details but when it comes to family… sometimes you just have to accept that they are the way they are and it is up to them to change and not you to force the change upon them…

anyway, i decided to post another picture of miss mila the monster child… she is so funny and cute sometimes… i know i’m biased but damn it…. she is a cute kid if i do say so myself… and not because i am her mommy… hehe… i like to call this picture “mila jamming on her elmo guitar with bob” … you know… as in bob marley… 

the shortie is sick… she sounded like she was getting sick on thursday night… so i gave her some pediacare to make it more comfy for her… but she’s still sick.. hasn’t really slept a good night sleep on thursday through saturday night… she finally was able to sleep for an extended period of time on sunday night… all of 7 hours…   i feel so bad for her cause she can’t articulate what is not making her feel well, etc.. oh well.. i guess i’ll just try and make it as comfortable for her as possible….

i don’t have much time to write today… gotta get a lot done at work…  so i’ll just post quickly…  been tired from working but was very proud of myself that i actually got shortie to bed sleeping by 9:15ish…  i know.. lame.. but it’s the small victories that i am cherishing now.. 

we’ve started to plan for her birthday and her baptism…  we’re trying to get her birthday and baptism the same day… we’ll see after we take our pre-baptismal class on 9/11… 

anyway, here is a recent pic of miss thing… it was taken after i gave her a bath one night… she looks so cheesy but so adorable.. i just want to chomp on her chubby cheeks… heehee 

thank god it’s the last day of working for the end of the quarter… i am so tired.. i have no energy… my eyeballs are crossing… i am seeing triple… and these stupid mosquito bites are itching the sh*t out of me…  *sigh*

i wish i could go home to see mila and ed… at least i have one day to spend with them…  tomorrow..  ooh.. here is a recent pic of mila… she looks so cute… she has that naughty michievous look…    doesn’t she look so cute?!?!

this weekend has been quite busy for me…  friday, i had to pick up the parents after work… they came up this weekend to take part in the gilroy garlic festival…  it’s cool i guess… it’s just too hot and windy for the shortie to partake in… 

saturday was a crazy day for me because i woke up early to go and have my eyebrows threaded…  it’s kind of cool because the aesthetician uses regular sewing thread and does some funky triangular formation and then shapes and basically yanks out my eyebrow hairs to make a beautiful arch… how she does it, i have no idea and i am willing to just pay her the $10 so that i don’t have to tweeze my eyebrows my damn self..    after that shortie and i ran some errands — went to target and safeway to get some stuff for the house and also made sure that i got a pedicure… because the way the toes were looking prior was not cute… kind of reminded me of claws….  later that evening, shortie, ed and i went to my friend su’s wedding at the mandarin oriental…  it was really nice ceremony albeit short.. the ceremony took place on the 40th floor on the sky terrace overlooking the city, the bay bridge and the water…  no one told me that it was outside…  let me tell you that the freaking wind was blowing and having a grand old time with everyone’s hair…  thank god i always pack a blanket and jacket for shortie… she would have froze…  so basically the ceremony went something like this… “do you?, i do. do you? i do.  rings?  okay, man and wife.. kiss”  seriously took less that 15 minutes for them to be wedded…  it was kind of funny but kind of weird to me… the only thing that really was a bummer was when the officiant was saying the groom’s name and he pronounced his last name the way you would in chinese, his older sister came in with her loud ass ugly baby and  blurted out loudly, “steven kwan!!!!”  my best friend who also happened to be the maid of honor looked at each other in total shock…  it just irked me how uncouth and rude she was..  i mean, why do you have to steal your brother’s thunder on his wedding day?  she was just plain rude and her baby was so not cute…  *sigh*  i just felt bad for my friend su…  the reception was cool…  they had a really cute picture show of when the bride and groom were small, then grew up — along with their friends and then how they met, etc..  the reception ended around 12 something… way past shortie and my bedtime…  we finally got home at 1:30am…. poor shortie was so out of it…  here is a picture of shortie and her daddy at the reception…

sunday my mom and i went to the burke williams spa to have massages…  it was cool but i didn’t know that my mom wanted more of a deep tissue massage rather than an aromatherapy massage….  oh well.. next time…  afterwards we met up with my sister for lunch before she and her boyfriend drove back to la…  

the thing that really surprised me today was when my mom and i were on our way to the spa, she blurts out that she is willing to put down $17,000 for my next car only on two conditions:
1.  the car has to have a navagation system (okay, no problem)
and
2.  it has to have a tv screen so that the baby can occupy herself while i’m driving..  (no problem here!!!)

so after lunch we went and checked out a honda accord at my friend’s dealership…  it was cool test driving it…   i’m just waiting for my friend ryan to get back from his vacation to make sure to lockdown a really, really good price on a new car…  who knew that it only took me to have a kid before my mother decides that she wants to buy me a car…    will wonders never cease…

now i have to go and try to relax because tomorrow is the start of hell…. aka quarter end…

thisis my first blog on xanga… i usually keep an online journal onlivejournal but i figured i’d start one here on xanga so shammy canread along…  so basically my life isn’t thatinteresting…  i guess this is my story in a nutshell… 

i live in the bay area with my bf ed…  we have a 9 month old baby girl named mila.. we usually call her shortie or shortstuff or boo boo or ed likes tocall her boogie…  her other nicknames are LD and drama… here is a picture of her cute little butt…

anyway, i’ll write more later when i have something interesting towrite…  now i have to go and get miss mila ready for a bath andthen to put her down to sleep…
